The Research

Human skin requires some sunlight for optimal health and luminosity, yet excessive solar exposure can lead to premature ageing and skin cancer.

Healthy skin glows with brilliance. This radiance can be recreated and enhanced by a complex of metallic oxides and pigments, including melanin, zinc and iron oxides which also act as visible skin perfectors and pre-emptive solar protectors.

The skin’s own solar defences include a delicately balanced array of proteins, pigments and biomolecules which work in synergy to reflect, scatter and diffuse UV, Visible Light and Infrared Radiation. This total energy output of the sun is called The Solar Constant.
